It was never the greatest, but I'm failing 3 out of 4 times to find a sample at all on 77% and higher concentration spots. Has anyone else noticed this?

People on my server are saying the same thing happening to them since this weekend. It's making artisan missions hell.

he he artisan is a vicious cycle. you have to grind survey and sample for hours, only to level up and be able to craft more items, all of which require even more resources. but yeah, im a lvl 4 surveyor and on a 96% i failed like 1 out of 3 times.

So that's why it's taking me forever to get Surveying!

I'm working on Master Artisan for the first time ever.
Got the hang of making items in practice mode and such, but I thought a 77% spot should produce a few more succesful harvests than it was...

Oh well. Unless they fix it, I can just use that time as grind time for getting to Architect and finishing up the rest of the Artisan boxes as well.

Hey all,

I just did some testing on this.

I sampled on a 95% spot for 30 min.

After I toted up the numbers, I had a 60% success rate. Worse than the 3 out of 4 cited at the start of the thread.

Ugh.

I've reported it. 60% is way too low. Confirmations are welcome and solicited.

I don't know, but it's infuriating. It took me 6 hours to do Survey 2

Figured I'd take a look at this on TC to see if I noticed anything odd. With survey IV (100 survey skill) on a 73% spot of steel, things seemed to be fine.

sample sizes 5-10 units

~75% or so success rate

Of course I still had streaks of 12 successes or 8 failures in a row, but this randomness is normal. I'd have to do more testing to see if I can still sustain a BER of 14.
