I hope this is the right category......
I recently achieved Master artisan. In order to exchange my astromech programs, I built a memory module. Once it deposited from the hopper, it refuses to be programed. Program won't show up ijn the radial menu. Help Me!!!!!!

you need a "Unprogramed Droid Command Module". These are made by novice DE's or 1 box in to DE im not sure of the top of my head. But to program astromechs with programes that you know dosn't require a UDCM, you can program the droid directly thrugh the radial provided it has a data module installed that your certified for.
A UDCM is only used if you want a program from another faction. they burn the UDCM with the program then hand it over to you to place into the droid in a similar fasion as programing the droid with your droid programs.

So this is a different kind of memory module than the artisan version?

Yes DE's get the schematic in the blueprint trees. They will need master artisan EMM's and I believe control units to make it though.

Everything to do with droid commands and their storage is made by DEs, EXCEPT it takes 1 electronic memory module as a subcomponent to craft an unprogrammed droid command chip. Most DEs are Master Artisans, since we're the prime users of these parts.

Actually this is only partly correct.
The Unprogrammed Memory Module is a Novice Droid Engineer item. And yes it does require the EMM from the Master Artisan Schems.
Just made a run of em.
Honestly picking up Novice DE isnt a terrible idea of a Master Artisan. The Novice block grants storage module you need for vehicle customization kits too. So for a mere 6 sp you can make two sellable items. Course theres other things you could do with the SP too, depends on your template.
