So in Beta, it was a common practice for me to make my own tools since we get usage-based XP. First thing I did when I got in game (for all of ten minutes) last night was to go through and destroy all the survey tools that you get by default. It was then that I realized I hadn't surveyed any minerals yet, so I couldn't build the tools yet. Only two days away from the game and I lose my head...

But, it was on a server I didn't really want to play on anyway, so I'll just have to make a new one when they finally come up...which will be 11-noon for me since I'm in Eastern time here...and then I'll be at work..argh..

I don't think you get UXP for your own tools. Only if someone else uses them. So swap tools with other artisans.

I survey a bunch of good metal and was about to destroy my GCT before I remembered that I need some fiberplast too... ^_^

Luckily I caught my mistake in time...
