Ok, I bought the deed, placed the factory, named it something cool and put tons of stuff in it including the schematics of guns and their components.

When I check the thing for needed materials it names off some strange stuff I'd never heard of, accept for one item that I had thousands of in the hopper.

Oh no, I have a thousand other questions that no one has answered in any forum so far, but let's just see what we can do to get the thing to pump some guns out before I start asking about experience, proximity, quality and administration.

Ok, lemme see if I can explain this. When you look at the ingredients on the schematic you placed in your hopper, it gives you the actual NAME of the mineral/chemical/etc... that you used to MAKE the schematic. For instance, suppose you need 5 copper per unit and you said "hey, i have 5000 copper right here, ill use that" Look at the properties of the mineral and it will tell you a name. For example in this case of copper, we'll use Omok. When you look at the schematic, it says 5 Omok, not 5 Copper. The reason behind this is that all minerals, etc. have different properties. So if you're going to make IDENTICAL components in your factory, you have to have the IDENTICAL materials for all of them. If you need 5 Omok and wish to make 100 widgets, you of course need to load 500 Omok into the slot. So pay close attention to which materials you are using and how much of them you will need to do large runs in your factory. Nothing sucks worse than going to fire up the factory than to realize your 500 short of a certain material.
