Hello!

Ihave have some questions on repair tools.

Does it matter who uses the tool? Is a master artisan more likely to get a good result or is it just the quality of tool itself that matter?

Is it more difficult to repair a sliced item?

Can someone list the possible results, and estimated chances for them at some levels?

Wath is the effect of the optional parts?

Thank you in advance for any answers and sorry if the matter has been discussed many times before.

OK, I made 2 weapon repair tools both with the same resources (high conductivity copper, somthing like 985 cond.)

1st tool - Just copper and full experimentation - 97 functionality

2nd tool - same coper + optional parts and full experimentation - 97 functionality

ok... I tried to repair my laser carbine (it was at 560/1000 condition)with thetool with the optional parts. It fell apart *sigh*

(coulnd't test the other one since that was my only weapon )

Anyone who knows if there is a skill modifier on the repair?

You can get 97% with all the optional parts? With my materials I make kits with all optional parts and can only get them up to 88% currently. However, I have hadfive people use my weapon kits and two use my armor kits and not a failure yet. I haven't even experimented with non-optional-component kits.

If you're down to 144 you don't really have much to lose anyway. Just do it.

Thats true but I dont kill much so that will last me a couple of days I will wait until it gets to 5, anyone confirm slicing makes dusting happen more frequently?

I bought a weapon repair kit with my Commando that had an effectivity rating of 2.4. Repaired my Launcher Pistol that was at 354/875 and having been sliced back to 802/802.

I tried this with one of my Weaponsmith's smiths weapons using a kit with no optional components and I fully experimented to a displayed effectiveness of 2.5 or so... and it ate the weapon.

I think its just dumb luck if it works or not.

Slicing is supposed to make the weapon wear out faster, but has no effect on repair.
