Thread: Critical Failure Input
Failing is good.. don't want to always succeed. But I have a couple suggestions for it. It's really aggravating to put in 100-200 resources and end up witha critical failure and get nothing. I suggest two things:
1. Give 10-20% exp. for critical failures. (You learn from your mistakes...)
2. Allow a chance to salvage a failure, costing an additional 50% of the item cost. It's better than the current 100%. =P
I think it'd be a good idea, but then again I've slept 5 hours in the last 48, so what do I know? =P Take it or leave it.
Khalor,
I agree with your idea of getting some type of experience from failures. Good idea ! Problem is the most we can hope to get is 5%. Reason I say this is that factories only give 10% on crafted items. We can not expect to get as much for a hand crafted failure as on a factory crafted success.
As for the other post, I believe you are refering to experimentation failures which is something completely different from what Khalor is posting about. He is refering to crafting final assembly failures and not experimentation.
