I've gotten mixed results on this...
if your crafting an item, what is the most important attribute? some say quality, quality, and quality, while i think its more towards what your crafting, but is there any proof, i tried making a couple of things with completely diff resources, and seem to get just about the same results, i have some nice hardwood, quality of 920, but unit toughness is only 2!? what does unit toughness affect? etc... any where i can see a breakdown of what affects what or anyone have some valuable input on what i need to look for when choosing what resource to mine until the next resource shift??

When you call up and item to make it (the schematic), look on the lower right. There is a window that you can scroll down through. It will tell you there what attributes of each resource used are important. There will be a percentage breakdown for things like conductivity, overall quality, etc.. Then you set out to get resources with the highest number in those areas. That will improve your products quite a bit.
