Ok, top5 BETTER titles than "ALL Artisans PLZ read"
5) ALL Artisans please read
4) All Corbantis Artisans please read
3) I'm new and could use some advice
2) NOT relevent to most Artisans, but I demand your time anyways
1) I'm lazy, please spoon me informationI could look up on this message board
Well, now that we've got that invective out of the way...
For a starting artisan, I recommend you simplyseek outthe highest concentration of steel or ore you can find regardless of overall quality (note: 60% concentration of ore is considered high) and sell it to any architect you can find. It's good, steady cash and takes a minimum of overhead.
Once you've got enough cash to support multiple harvesters you can start to diversify with aluminum and copper with an eye on overall quality (and conductivity for copper). This you can sell to people that actually care what the properties of their resources are, like armor and weaponsmiths.
Alternately you could go into the energy business and go all out with wind harvesters.
Do that for a couple weeks and you'll get an idea of what is in demand, in what quantities. Personally, I've never met an architect that didn't need more ore, and steel of any quality is always in demand.
Yes - the idea is to find what sells in your local area...... since that's where most people buy what they want -- unless they're serious, like Architects, Weaponsmiths, Armorsmiths.
Another item besides steel which sells about as fast as I can put it on the Bazaar is fiberplast.
Also, find out SPECIFICALLY what type of iron, steel, aluminum, etc that people really want -- example -- Bowcasters can only be made with Quadranium Steel and Doonium Iron -- therefore people making Bowcasters want those two badly.
Other things, like DX2 pistols, require specific metals.......... found out what kind....... survey until you find a good source near the town where you live (if you can) to cut down on travel time...... and get a bunch. Keep putting it on the Bazaar.

I don't believe in spoonfeeding either but I will give you some free advice (remember it's worth exactly what you pay for it!)
You need to study the market. You want to identify 2 types of items - those that move quickly (they may not pay much but you can count on selling 3 - 4 of them every day) and those that are in such high demand you almost never see them on the bazzar (these tend to be high ticket items and don't turn over quickly). They first type will provide bread and butter money (help defry expenses) the second type will be where your profit comes from.
Well I finaly got my critter so I'm going to be off. Hopefully you have found this avice useful. Seriously, half the fun in this game is figuring these kinds of things out for yourself.
I was just trying to get started, I've found very little luck with the bazaar and was think a post on the message boards would help. I dont want info spoon feed to me. I was just looking to help out the other artisans by doing all the leg work for them (for a small fee of course). Thought it would help the community, not find out the top five other ways to post (THANKS!!)
I take it know one appreciates a little help

When you want to find out what is in high demand, then go to your lokal bazaar and browse it. Everything that has not reached a second page is in high demand.
Three suggestions for you:
1) Check out www.SWGcraft.com for information about the relative quality of different resources. (And while you're there, consider helping out keeping your plant/server's information up to date.) You can also get information here about what schematics & professions need what types of resources, and soon, even information about the "best" resources for a given schematic.
2) Post to your server's board asking the higher level artisans what resources they use most, and offer to harvest for them.
3) Try to be a bit more descriptive in your subject titles when you post. ;-)

To answer one question that I saw no one else did; Any harvester you can build is needed out there and will be purchased. Plenty of noob Artisans, as well as experienced Surveyors, are willing to buy these since they are not able to build them until Eng3 is achieved.
I have not built any flora farms yet but I bet the cooks and maybe the medics would like those for their potions and so forth.
Oh, and I thought you post, or title, was as appropriate as any other. In fact I might not have read this if one of those other five suggestions were used.

1) Avoid items that require a lot of experimentation to be good. Master Artisans will crush you in that market.
2) Look at all the items you can make. Check out the bazaar and see if any items you can make aren't listed or are listed in a small amount.
3) You can sell in an area of high concentration such as weapons or armor, as long as your item is better than the stuff on the bazaar. I have sold bone armor at pretty high prices because it was way better than the stuff listed. People will pay for quality.
4) Make a few of several different items. Crafting tools, General Crafting tools, Armor and Weapon Repair tools, Fireworks, 1-2 of each and stick em on the bazaar for a reasonable price.
5)Harvesters do sell .I buy them all the time. I look for ones from 800-1200. At that price its cheaper for me to buy one than redeed. Look on the bazzar for ones that aren't in stock and make those.
6)Sadly resources are in more demand and are the easiest money in the game because so many people are crafters.
