to make this short and simple, at what rate do artisans, etc. get xp for people using their items? i recall reading this in the manual, but i've asked dozens of people and no one is exactly sure. is this even true, is it broken, or what??

You have to be logged in and in the same area as the person that is using the item (weapons and armor are the only ones I have seen give the exp). I noticed the exp a lot the first week of retail since everyone was buying and using my CDEF's (I was one of only 2 people experimenting on my cdefs and mine were higher damage/speed) and I could watch my general crafting exp raise about 50-100 points every 15-30 minutes (not a lot but some).

Ya armor and weapons seem to give the best UXP because they don't wear out so fast. I wish that UXP were fixed so that it gave it out like it was supposed to.
