I made my first factory run (making 100 Power ups). What I am not sure about is how crates/number of items in crates will be created. I see no option to control how many crates you are going to make, only total number of item.
Does it always create 10 crates so if you put in resources to create 200 items you get 10 crates x 20 or what? What if it is an odd number (like making 101 items?
Can someone explain?

The factory will make up to 100 items in the schematic ... even if the schematic is for 1000 it will stop at 100 units. It will also stop less than 100 if you fail to put in enough ingrediants to make the full 100.
As they are made they are put in crates ... the number that will fit in a crate varies by item but is usually 25 per crate (some items will fit 50 to a crate like Metal Fasteners for Tailoring).
So if you have a 100 item run ... you will likely have 4 crates of 25 units in each.

And some thingsdon't even goin crates at all. I found this out the hard way after running 100 units of small potted plants thata friend had made the schematic for. I stuck them in a structure factory and hit start and went off to do other things. I came back to 100 seperate itemsand a bit of a storage problem. :/
