What do i do with extra xp? Example: I've hit surveying 4, now i have nothing to do w/the surveying xp i get for sampling, etc. What can i do with it? Can i give itto other artisans for apprentice xp or something?

Yeah. Let's say you have surveying 4 and a bunch of extra survey xp you can surrender the surveying 4 skill and have someone reteach it to you to give them apprenticeship points.
