Taking advice from others chasing the fs slot path (hidden prffesion or holo) i've found a few things out...


the first 3 skills can easly be grinded if you can stockpile the right resources in time.


Wind srvey tools... good exp for the materials

Wind power gens also a good source for the materials...


these i did to cover the first 3 lines...

now for my advice on how to take care of the survey line wihtout loosing your sanity or starting to bleed from your eyes..

I suggest your pc with internet connection be in a room with a good dvd player/video system to view movies....


ok .. attain one of each survery tool... poke arround... today i did fiberplast.. garbage overall quality (20ish) but concentration was 93% You want the most concentration as possible.

next. One or two crates of Tattonie sunburns (yes drinking is involved! )

find your sweetspot .. agian the higher concentration the faster your exp will roll in.

start your dvd player/vhs ...

Our first survey 4 feature film will be.. Enemy at the gates. Great movie .. true story embelished ... and will help keep your sanity.

While surverying you will have the annoying popup boxes to keep you from macroeing efficently .. sokay you are not running one.. just keep an ear out for that chime sound (as if you hit the alt button and brought up your datapad..

1. play dvd..

2. drink a tattonie sunburn (your character ingame! )

3. watch said movie.. by the time you are about oh .. 1/3 max into the movie pause it .. and check your exp .. you should be ready to train 1 up .. maybe even 2 ..

4. by the time you near the end of the movie you should have 2 trained up and maybe even started on 3..

5. change dvd's .. your second feature of the day will be ..Johnny memonic (sp) Hey i wanted something old school... aahh back in the day when the internet was something people would dream about and not have...

6. by the end of this movie you should be about 1/2 ways through 4 (maybe) buck up ... you should be getting ready for the long strech here....

7. Final matinee will be. We were soldiers. Awsome movie .. again some may dissagree .. but for me .. i enjoyed it.. as i watch this movie i'm nearing the 8500 xp mark into survery 4 and the part that just played is hte one where they are training and the first man is told he's down and asks what everyone ealse in the huey is going to do... (less than 1/8th the way into the movie..

You may change up movies for any other.. (ep 1,2,4?) but you get the idea...

bring up your stats (ctrl-c) and keep an eye out for when the tat sunburn runs out .. drink and keep that regen up!

helps to have a weapon equipped incase an aggro pops up near..

as for tat sunburns i went through about 1/2 a case...

Sunburn doesnt have a downer like spice does?

If you're chasing camping XP then chuck a camp down on the sweet spot, and get 2 lots of XP at once.

Good one! no .. tat sunburns are not spice.. they are food (drink actually) no downer..


just chain drink em as they wear off..

I got mind and stamina buffs and was able to extract for close to an hourand a halfwithout stopping.

Suckers, I have been playing this game since it came out, I did survey before the hoards of annoying popups. Try watching Monty Python stuff, that will shock your sanity back.

Or run a sample/stand/sit macro, and put something heavy on the 'return' key so that it will automatically hit OK to the pop up boxes. then just let it run all night. I got survey 4 after 2 nights of running macros

I was already doing this, but using a healself macro instead of the tat sunburns.

I dont know about that one, the investigation line is a whole lot better than it used to be.

I just got done grinding droid engineer. Now thats a l o n g grind! -i spent over 2mill on resources and had my own heavies, could not believe it.

The first time i did survey, you could sample much much faster, medical crafting also gave survey xp and harvesters seemed to also give survey xp.. All seems to be gone now..
