Well since you didn't state what the concentration you were standing on when you tried to sample I can't answer definitivly....

BUT

If the concentration is lower than 10% you almost ALWAYS fail in survey. Also as was stated previoulsy, newelly shifted resources are still not surveyable. Think the code knows the concentration (so it can display it) but it doesn't have the active pointers to the resource yet.

And please keep the profanity to a minimum. You can be as pleased or pissed as you want, we don't care. As us nicely and we will answer nicely, abuse us and the fourms, as you will get abuse back.

Hmmm, I haven't had any problems sampling materials that have freshly spawned, haven't had for a month or more.

well when a new resource first appears on a planet you are unable to sample for a few hours. You can though pull new resources through a Harvester even if you can't sample it.

The "concentration too low" message will also appear when the resource is about to leave the planet i believe. Not positive on this but think thats how it works. It is rather annoying to be standing on a high concentration and getting "you can't" messages.

And these are the type of people becoming Jedi? May the Force be with us.

Jedi will be rare and difficult - No

- I supported the CURB, the Devs and the attempt to make SWG a better game and have realized it didn't work so I'm quitting in less than 2 days and won't be tricked into coming back again. Trick me once, shame on you...

I've also seen it give the same or similar message when the resource is ABOUT to shift, don't know if I've seen it right after a shift though.

Part of my my responsibilty for my guild is to keep up to date on the resoruces on a specific planet.

I have noticed tho (having 2 characters one with novice artisan and other master), that with just novice artisan you cannot survey anything under a 35% concentration, otherwise you just get the "resource is too low, blah blah..." msg. The character with novice couldnt sample at less then 35% and the master artisan could sample a spot as low as 12%.

It has nothing to do with the resource shifting. For awhile i had the shifts timed on Intrepid, meaning i knew they shifted between 3a and 4am central time every night. But it seems that the shift times have changed some and i havent discovered the new shift time since it is probably occuring around 5 or 6am or later in the morning while i am at work or sleeping.

I have amaster artisan and I still sometimes get the "concentration too low" message even on 70%+.
