Was thinking of picking some of these up, but I'm a little vague on how it works. Do you harvest radioactives and feed the generator with them or do you just drop the generator on a radioactive spot, like a solar on a solar energy spot?

They "gather" radioactives, which are a kind of mineral resource, treated just like steel or iron or copper or gemstone; so use your mineral survey device to find a high concentration.

You use them just like other power harvesters; drop one down on a high concentration spot, pay maintenance, choose the radioactive resource (if there's more than 1 at the spot), and start it running.

Come back in a few hours and it'll have collected some radioactive.

The radioactives are used just like wind and solar power, with one difference- often their Potential Energy is over 500, which means they perform better. A unit of PE-1000 radioactive will be worth two units of PE-500 or less. (Power with <500 PE is counted as 500 PE.)
