Thread: Some noob questions and observations

Hello fellow Artisans.

I am new, so that makes me a noob I think. As I climbed through the early stages of Artisan, I continually improve the quality of my crafting tools as I go. I love it so far, and hope to revel in the Artisan trade as I reach Master. I have zero apprentice points though, because all the holo grinders pay people to let them train them, and I haven't sold a single item because the vendors are broken on our server right now. (Bria)

I get a lot of messages like the following:

"Crafting Session Ended"

I even got attacked by RSF Commandos in the middle of a crafting session in Theed outside the Starport. I wasn't crafting anything illegal for them to aggro me, and I am curious why this happened.

More to the point, as a noob Artisan, I cannot afford to lose things on a successful crafting session when I am making Harvesters. This happens to me at random, and I wish to know if it is a bug or simply working as intended.

I understand the experimentation ruining the craft, but I don't understand if the sessions end because of a bug, or a malfunction with the crafting tool. All my tools have over +7 functionality.

Thanks for any help you can provide to a noob Artisan.

Its because your more than likley using a low scale crafting tool. If you have a crafting tool with a -10 or even -6 its going to happen alot. Then best crafting tools ive seen are aroung +12.

OK, since the only person to answer you so far was the guy who can't figure out surveying, I'll chime in. Sometimes your crafting session will prematurely end if you hit enter too quickly, That has a tendancy to dump your materials as though you cancelled the craft. Make sure you wait a moment after the assembly stage before moving on.

As far as being attacked while crafting, you'd better check your faction or something. I'm not familiar with RSF commandos so I don't know if they're just naturally aggressive or not.

Hey DarthBukai....... this has nothing to do with surveying you idiot. Im am simply trying to help this guy out as I needed with surveying on another post. Im sure you've needed help as well on other things. I started artisian only 4days ago because of my Holocron. I have no intensions in keeping that profession since I find it boring.

So if you have anything to say, keep it related to the topic and don't flame you flamer. Geeze who the hell do these people think they are?

I was a new artisan once too. I read the FAQ and figured out surveying myself. That kinda makes you the idiot.

Also, my answer to the orignal post didn't stray off topic. Learn to read.

What the hell do you think these forums are fool you ignorant fool? Just because you know your profession better, doesn't mean you have to be a smart a-s-s.

Thanks to those who answered.

I didn't intend to start a fight, but I didn't ask anything about Surveying.

Nothing in the FAQ indicated anything about the crafting session bug, but I found out from someone in-game that it may be a bug while using multiple crafting stations.

All my stations are 12.71 quality or so. I try to make better as I find better resources.

Thank you for the answers anyway.

"I even got attacked by RSF Commandos in the middle of a crafting session in Theed outside the Starport. I wasn't crafting anything illegal for them to aggro me"

That would be funny if you could get aggro'd by local police for making illegal things

Actually, you can make crafting tools with +14.69 effectiveness. Just takes some high quality material, and some experimentation.
