Thread: Interesting Observation Regarding Powerup Resouce Quality
Well, I make a ton of powerups on Lowca. I was excited when a new chemical shifted in that was 999 OQ. The best we previously had was 995 OQ for chemicals. We've had a couple shifts of 1000 OQ minerals.
The reason I was excited was because I would be using 1000 OQ mineral and 999 OQ chemical, which would give me a nearly perfect powerup. However, when I did the combine and experimentation I was REALLY bummed.
The 999 OQ chem produced the EXACT SAME powerup as the 995 OQ chem! Down to the 6th decimal place on both the primary and secondary stat.
This has led me to concludethere is absolutely no difference in a 995 and 999 resource for crafting purposes. I wonder if there is any difference between a 995 and 1000 OQ resource?
I wish I had the exact stats to post. Does anyone out there make powerups with both mineral and chemicals that have 1000 OQ? If so, can you please post the stats? Thanks.
I don't think it's going to make and difference at all. 33.whatever% is the cap, and you can hit it with a 1000 OQ and 995 OQ combo. In fact, I will probably try some other lower end materials to see if they work, too.
k....it's early and I am still sleepy, but.... OQ has nothing to do with weapon power-up stats/experimentation, as far as I can tell. I make tons of them in my factory using Douse copper with 1k conductivity and get max results, regardless of the oq.
Is there a guide somewhere on powerups… It looks way to random to me how do you know when making them which one does what as far as what stats get affected?
Used tons and I know what people look for just never made them until now!!!

This has a list of what type of stat boost you can get w/ the different types of powerups. As for making them, it's random what stats you'll get. So if you want to make a Max/Min powerup, you make muzzles, but making muzzles doesn't guarantee that you'd end up w/ a Max/Min powerup, you can end up w/ a Mind cost/Health cost powerup instead.
