if dragging the newly made power up onto the weapon in my inventory doesnt work... how am I supposed to do it? (worked for the survival knife power up, not working for the ranged weapon power up)

Works fine for me.
Just drag it over the weapon and it's applied.

Can only do one power up per weapon though, so make sure you're not trying twice.

Yeah I was kindly disappointed that my gun could only be upgraded once.

Part of the problem I had is that I couldn't use the upgrades becuase I was in the wrong inventory window, you can only do the upgrade in one of the inventory windows. The one that does not have your body and is not detailed is the only one where upgrades will work.

Actually it does not upgrade your gun at all because the buf to the gun is not permament. It "powerups" the gun for 100 shots. That should last you 4-5 battles. Examine your weapon and you will see how many shots you have left on it.

Also, to answer the orginal question, powerups only work on crafted weapons. I don't know if this is by design or not, but that is what is happening. It may be that the weapon you are trying to powerup is a loot drop weapon. You can tell this by examining it. If it doesn't tell you who created it, it is a loot drop weapon.

Greetings! I'm a new artisan, and I have a few questions about Weapon Power-Ups.

What are they? How do they work? Do you have to be an artisan to use them?

If anyone can help out a newbie artisan, I'd appreciate it. Thank you!

1.What are they?- You add them to weapons(Only able to add ONE power up to a weapon at a time!) to increase their damage or reduce their cost on action/mind ect.

2.How do they work?- I dont really know I never really got into that field since their is such a huge glut of them everywhere I go so I stuck with a diffrent line of crafting.

3.Do you have to be an artisan to use them?- NO, Anyone can use them but only Artisians can make them.

Hope this helps and hope that I didnt get anything wrong if so please someone correct me.

That was my problem. I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't upgrade my gun. Thanks!

I can sell my power ups for 300, as opposed to 150. Why? Because they last longer. 4-5 battles? A +30 damage power up will last longer than that. Why? Because more damage/shot = less shots fired = less drain on the power up.
