Hello,
I'm a Master Doc, and for all my high level medicines, I have some pretty stringent resource requirements. I think this is true of most high-level crafted goods. Anyhow, in light of the fact that some of the resources I need as a Doc might only spawn once a month or so, and are gone in 3 days from everyone in the whole galaxy trying to extract as much as possible before it runs out, it seems like there should be a minimum value on the stats, like say 500. It would really, *really* suck to wait a month for dolovite iron or class 4 liquid petro to spawn, only for it to have Overall Quality of like 94. Or, anything less than 500 really.
IMHO, the spawn system needs to take into account either that a given resource is a STRICT component in a high level recipe (.e.g that the resource it is about to spawn is something for which there is NO alternative for some recipe), or at least how long it has been since the last time a resource of that class has spawned, and adjust the resource stats accordingly, so that there is some 'floor' that the stats on such resources won't drop below.
Just my two cents.

I know Duralloy Steel is a rare for DE's and everytime I've seen it spawn, it's been in the 900+ range. I know that this doesn't hold for everything, but perhaps they have set ranges for the qualities that each type can spawn with. Maybe some resources are meant to be rare and semi-low qualities.
Just a thought.

Well, I've been waiting like 3 weeks for Class 4 Liquid Petro to spawn on Scylla - some finally spawned yesterday. It has an Overall Quality of 81. Eighty-one. Eighty-[censored]-one. Lol. That is *only* usefull for grinding experience, and nothing else. See this is what I was talking about in my first post. I don't think class 4 should necessarily be 900+ OQ everytime it spawns, but can't we get at *least* 500? I mean, come on, it's not worth harvesting anything less than 500, so it might as well have not even spawned.
