I know you're supposed to.. there used to be a "usage xp" .. but I personally haven't noticed it ever accumulating (like factory xp is also supposed to).

So, in theory, yes. In practice? A shaky "no" .. unless someone can point me to where I'm supposed to be looking

Yes you get crafting XP for some one using your items.

on consumables that are destroyed upon use IE Bofa treats. you are granted usage xp upon use.

on things that are not consumed its granted on a use base that is % of the total xp granted , this seems bugged and doesnt realyl seem to work.

on things that are in deed form you are granted XP upon there first use, or upon tameing for DE and BE's and AR's.

note this is usage xp, back in beta usage XP was 80% of the total xp possible to get and you only got 20% of the true xp, in retail you get 100% true xp with a 75% bouns on consumables(like food) 25% bouns on non consumables, and 100% on deeds.

In order to actualyl get thsi xp some one other than you has to actualyl use the item, this is required on consumables.

consumables are also Sub combines. when you have to make three or four subcombines and put them in the final product the second you hit Next and it assembles (ie right before you can choose to experiment) you are granted the usage xp for makeing those items.

There was a big big push for a 100% usage xp system, IE you would have to get some one to use your item to actually get xp to beable to level up.

Practice mode is 15%, so your looseing from 5% to 85% of the Xp you could have recived.

to test this out, make abofa treat and give it to some one else, check your xp level of Generic crafting, then tell them to eat it, then check it again.

Factories are supposed to only grant 10% of the xp you would have gotten for a hand assembly, usage xp does not get granted for factories.

And even then you can't be too far away from it.

Just FYI, UXP from food only gets granted when the last dose is eaten, you get 50% of the original crafting xp. And I'm not sure if this is intended, but you also earn UXP if you eat food you've crafted yourself (although not ones made in a factory).

How does it work with powerups then? Half of what you get to make it, or a cut of whatever the user got in hunting?
