Thread: How do the Survey Droids Work?

I used one and all it did was send me an e-mail and tell me that it located all the stuff I already knew were located on the planet.

It did not give me a waypoint to the location of the resource I needed.

It took my survey device and did not give it back.

Is this how these work? If so, what is the point of these things then?

I mean, all they do is take a half hour to tell you what you would know if you just flew to the planet and surveyed right at the starport, then take a "Forever" use survey device and turn it into a one use device.

If this is the way they are supposed to work, all I can say is that this is the most ignorant implementation the devs have ever come up with, and that this has to be the bigest complete waste of time developing something I have ever heard of!

All the resource driod gives you is the same list you see on right side of the survey tool if you use it. Yes it does use up the driod and the survey tool used.

It is only useful to use if you have a harvester on another planet and want to check to see if the same resource is still in the spawn.

I have a water harvester on talus instead of wasting time and cash flying to talus I send a driod if the water I was harvesting has shifted out I go move harvester.
