Thread: this may be petty but it is annoying
After wasteing 2 hours surveying for a new uber spawn of a rare resource I was ready to kill.
I had found 3 different 90+% Concs and had 1 of the 3 problems:
- When I went to build I got a "you cannot build here" message
- There was no place to build due to a Yellow no building zone
- There was no place to build because of unknown terrain problems.
I can think of few activites more tedious then surveying for a good conc and fewer more annoying then reaching your goal conc only to find out you cannot build within 200M of the high conc.
Is there some way you can have an indicator on the survey tool indicateing wheather you can build there, or if it can also show the Yellow zones in the display.
This way we know to stop wasteing our time surveying in that area.
Not being able to build in cities or within the boarders of them are understandable but when you are in the middle of nowhere it gets really frustrateing.

I have to agree with you on points 2 and 3 and add one of my own. But first to address this "Unknown Terrain" problem. Personally I find it absolutly ludicrous to think that a society that has found the technological solutions to interplanetary travel could NOT find a way to place a harvester on uneven terrain!
Apparently the Developers HAVE however found a way to place NPC Bases on that same unever terrain! Simply amazing isn't it? Kinda makes one shake one's head and consider just what the Developers REALLY ARE trying to accomplish doesn't it?
OK Now for my real tip here for all you surveyors. I have discovered the fastest way to find the highest concentrations of ANY resource that you can harvest.
Simply move to a point so rugged, remote and steep that you could NEVER hope to find a spot to plop your harvester and THERE you will find the highest concentrations possible for that spawn. That or head out int othe swamps! THe concentrations are ALWAYS highest there too!
there was just 1 problem it was just outside coronet cantina!

Sometimes I wonder if the devs implemented this on purpose, because there will always be a good spot out in the mountains somwhere.

Personally, I like to set them up right at the edge of a river and watch my campfire burn underwater.

This, incidentally, is kind of fun to do at the peaks of really tall mountains on Dathomir
