Well in spite of the massive protest They capped the vendors. They didn't give us an effective way to advertise and i just got sick of standing in the star ports for hours at a time selling swoops. I guess the 6000 credit limit on the bizzar terminal searves some critical function. I would have much rather sold over the bizzar. But i had no intention of selling swoops for 6000.

I finally came up with a solution after a group of 5 npc's followed me into my house and incapacitated me twice because i had to give up all my combat skills.

I deleted every item and structure i owned and will be canceling my account immediatly following this post.

that should make the servers run like a top. Have fun everyone. See you... Ooops i guess not.

Aww it's not that bad now. They heard the protests, and as a result increased the cap to a higher and more reasonable level. Not to mention giving us 12 vendors.

They are removing those dreadful abandoned vendors from the planetary map. They have given us Ad Barking Droids. They have added the 'Auction' tab in the chat box. And the trade section of these forums.

If swoops is all you are selling then I don't see how the new limits affect you.

If there was no credit limit on the bazaar, then everybody would use it to sell everything, and nobody would travel to people's shops / vendors.

Sorry that I am being un-sympathetic. The initial item limits did sound horrible, fortunately the devs increased those limits and gave us more vendors. I can understand that having to sacrifice precious skill points on Master Merchant is a little sad. Perhaps the cap on total skill points should be increased.

The challenge of this game is to work around the limitations. Provided that those limitations are reasonable, which in this case I think they are.

What is the best way to make people happier with an unpopular decision you've made? You need to be completely unreasonable and then, to make people feel like they've won something, you go back and "compromise" by giving them what you originally wanted to in the beginning.

Say for example, they wanted to make theminimum fee at a parking garage 100 credits. The Devscould put it on TC as 1000 credits, let people scream and moan about the unfairness and then they (the Devs) couldrealize "Oh, we don't really need 1000 to do this credit sink, we can do it on 100 credits. Isn't that better?" The community of course would agree that 100 credits was better than 1000.

What do they have now? Instant and overwhelming approval of their change.

And the devs did such a good job with the code for the vendors, that a vendor I created a week ago is already saying that it has been abandoned and is going to self-destruct, another one immediately ate all the heavy harvesters I put onto it, telling me that the items were no longer valid, and a third vendor is randomly deleting items from its inventory (not the stockroom) every time I look at it.

Please tell me this is just a bad dream, and that they haven't really done Release 10 yet.

Don't let the negative AFKophobes get you down. Play the game however you want.

Is the beta testing almost over for this game?

Ever since this patch hit live I've had all sorts of wierd bugs showing up, and not just with vendors. I've had a bunch of stuff disappear from my inventory since the patch.

Lets hope this isjust a bad dream....

Over-react much? Take a pill and get back in the game...

Oh i didn't seem to sound like a baby i guess there were many other factors in my decission. Steel spawned on intrepid Naboo the overall quality was 2. The resources that spawned over the past several week have been mostly junk and at very low concentrations. I checked harvesters and paid maintanance and deposited power only to return the following day or later in the evening to find the harveaster non functional needing more maintanance. This has happened randomly since i started playing the game.

I checked harvesters and paid maintanance and deposited power only to return the following day or later in the evening to find the harveaster non functional needing more maintanance. This has happened randomly since i started playing the game.

The Final Straw I logged on and checked my email. There was an email that said my structure factory was at ##%. The structure factory was only a few meter from my house. I went to the structure factory and before i could pay maintance was attacked by a group of NPCs. I was a novice swordsman I had just surrendered some of my rifle skills to get another level of architect. Since i was being shot at by 5 or 6 NPCs i ran into my house. Of course they followed i succesfully fought off two then healed. This happened 2 or 3 more times but each time more NPCs came after me. I was incapacitated 2 times and decided to log off since the NPCs stayed in my house and i had done very little damage. I waited a while and hoped they had left the house. When i logged back on they were gone. I went to the structure factory and it was gone.

I had a vendor on naboo. I used the auction channel. I spammed in the starports. i didn't surrender anyskills to get merchant.I built a house as close to coronet as possible put in a vendor and placed about ten items on it hit my cap and started to move the stuff from the vendor on naboo to coronet. Then it dawned on me I could have a hundred well stocked venders on every planet and without a decent way to addvertise noone would buy from them.

Devs: 660 Limit Master Merchant, enjoy.

Customers: wha? x500k in everythread in every forum, just...wha? ( i can't say w-t-f in this thread i guess) 1 million flame posts later:

Devs: Umm, we have reallyTHOUGHT this over and we will give you 12 vendors and 4000(or was it 6000? i forget) items at Master Merchant.

Most Customers: Oh thank you devs, so nice you are!

Some Customers: You like messing with our heads, don't you?

Thyd, looks like you have been playing awhile and i bet you have had your fun, good logic of quitting. Star Wars is a pretty high-tech world, right? Yeah, I thought so, hmmm, make a fully interactive eBay INGAME (like the bazaar except everything is mailed to you and unlimited price range)? Merchants abroad flame!
