Thread: vendor caps i cleaned up a server

Well in spite of the massive protest They capped the vendors.
Aww it's not that bad now. They heard the protests, and as a result increased the cap to a higher and more reasonable level. Not to mention giving us 12 vendors.

They didn't give us an effective way to advertise.
They are removing those dreadful abandoned vendors from the planetary map. They have given us Ad Barking Droids. They have added the 'Auction' tab in the chat box. And the trade section of these forums.

i just got sick of standing in the star ports for hours at a time selling swoops.
If swoops is all you are selling then I don't see how the new limits affect you.

I guess the 6000 credit limit on the bizzar terminal searves some critical function. I would have much rather sold over the bizzar. But i had no intention of selling swoops for 6000.
If there was no credit limit on the bazaar, then everybody would use it to sell everything, and nobody would travel to people's shops / vendors.
Sorry that I am being un-sympathetic. The initial item limits did sound horrible, fortunately the devs increased those limits and gave us more vendors. I can understand that having to sacrifice precious skill points on Master Merchant is a little sad. Perhaps the cap on total skill points should be increased.
The challenge of this game is to work around the limitations. Provided that those limitations are reasonable, which in this case I think they are.

What is the best way to make people happier with an unpopular decision you've made? You need to be completely unreasonable and then, to make people feel like they've won something, you go back and "compromise" by giving them what you originally wanted to in the beginning.
Say for example, they wanted to make theminimum fee at a parking garage 100 credits. The Devscould put it on TC as 1000 credits, let people scream and moan about the unfairness and then they (the Devs) couldrealize "Oh, we don't really need 1000 to do this credit sink, we can do it on 100 credits. Isn't that better?" The community of course would agree that 100 credits was better than 1000.
What do they have now? Instant and overwhelming approval of their change.

Please tell me this is just a bad dream, and that they haven't really done Release 10 yet.

I finally came up with a solution after a group of 5 npc's followed me into my house and incapacitated me twice because i had to give up all my combat skills.
I deleted every item and structure i owned and will be canceling my account immediatly following this post.
that should make the servers run like a top. Have fun everyone. See you... Ooops i guess not.
Over-react much? Take a pill and get back in the game...
Haha yeah that isvery true

Hehe, just think of the Devs as The Empire... Wow everything makes sense now!
