Here I am compiling a little FAQ on crafting jet packs.

Nothing groundbreaking here, I just wanted to know more about crafting jetpacks and thought i would share my findings. The answers here are kind contributions from people replying to this thread, as well as from other threads around the forum.

Please feel free to add answers, or ask more questions, or correct / elaborate on answers.

Q: How arejet packssimilar / different to vehicles?

A: They're asfast as X-34s, and they're like a regular vehicle in every way, including decay, except you get to point down at everyone. You look like you're flying 15 feet in the air. Unlike in the movies, you can't use it for fighting. It's mainly for novelty as it's slow and doesn't have a whole lot of condition.

- Lore Xion, Owako and Society2

Q: Canjet packsonly be crafted within the Death Watch Bunker?

A: Yes. This vehicle must be crafted in the special Droid Engineer Forge Room at the bottom of the Bunker. You have 5 minutes to complete the crafting process before you will be ejected. Failure during the crafting process will forcibly eject the entire party to the Bunker entrance.

- Ell' Kabong

Q: Who can craft a jet pack?

A:Only aMaster Artisancan make the jetpack, however aMaster Droid Engineer needs to have Protective Coating and Binary Liquid in his / her inventory to get the door to the crafting room open.

- Owako and Nizzle

Q: What are all the special parts that are needed?

A:

- Jetpack Base

- Injector Tank

- Fuel Dispersion Unit

- Ducted Fan

- Jetpack Stabilizer (dropped by the overlord)

- Alum Minerals (from the miner quest in the bunker)

- Ell' Kabong and Owako.

Q: Are any other normal resources required?

Q:Is a schematic required?

A: It doesn't use a schematic. Like theMandalorian Armor, the special crafting station has the schematic internally.

- Owako

Q: Is it possible for a crafter with little combat skills to solo the bunker, obtain all the parts, and create the jet pack?

A: One word - No. I would say get yourself a group of 20 to 30 elite combat template players, including 5 or 10 Jedi, add 5 to 10 master docs also, and you would have a 50 50 change of getting through the Bunker, it is insane.

- Asir

Q: Is there a good walkthrough available for the Death Watch bunker?

A: Yes - DEATH WATCH FOR DUMMIES v. 2.2:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=TestCenter&message.id=72870

- Ell' Kabong

Q: Can anyone use the completed jet pack or only Bounty Hunters?

A: Anyone can use the jetpack, including Jedi.

Haha ok. Yeah I was comparing it to the Corvette missions, but obviously Deathwatch is 100 times harder from what you are saying. Ok thanks

The 5th part is the jetpack stabilizer, its dropped by the overlord. You need Alum Minerals (from the miner quest in the bunker) as well so there are 6 peices required to make a jetpack. I was pretty sure master artisan is used to make the jetpack, where did you learn its DE? The DE need to have two of the other bunker loots (protective coating, don't remember name of the other) in his inventory to get the door to the crafting room open. It dosen't use a schmatic, like the mando armor the crafting station has the schmatic interally. Anyone can use the jetpack, but its mainly for novelty. Its slow and dosen't have a whole lot of condition.

Other item the DE needs in his inventory is the Binary Liquid, so to restate the DE needs protective coating and Binary Liquid to get the door to the crafting room open.

your lst q and a answered can anyone use the jetpack you answered yes,but that is not so,it is not just a coincidence that jedi can not wear backpacks, obviousely the devs didn't want the jedi flying over people slashing them to death, lol.

master droid engineer opens the door to the droid engineer crafting room, master artisan crafts the jetpack at the jetpack forge.

jedi can infact wear jetpacks, not sure why everyone believes otherwise.
