Ctrl-up should be a tuesday tip of the day. Such a useful unknown command. I use it all the time in chat or when im at my harvesters

Well, I was messing around tonight trying to figure out a way to find the draftschematic faster for my macro. Here is what I came up with. I was able to flip through 100 different draftschematics until I found the right one. It only took me about 3 minutes to flip through 100!!

1) Place a crafting tool in a toolbar slot.

2) Lets say you put your crafting tool in your F1 slot. Hit F1 to bring up the crafting station. At this point you will be at the part where you select and item to craft.

3) Type in " /selectDraftSchematic 00" and hit enter.

4) If the draftschematic 00 was not the right schematic, cancel out of the crafting station.

5) Hit F1 to bring up the crafting station again.

6) Hit 'Ctrl' plus the up arrow key. (This lets you automatically goto the last thing you typed which was /selectDraftSchematic 00)

7) Change what you typed from /selectDraftSchematic 00 to /selectDraftSchematic 01. This will goto the next draftschematic. Hit enter.

8) If that is not the right draftschematic, cancel out.

9) Then start the process over, and do the 03 draftschematic, 04 draftschematic, on so on and so forth.

Hope this helps you out! It sure helped me!

Great info. I went thru a few crafting grinds and gave up trying to figure out how to do the draft schematic. Thanks for the tip.

I found a pretty easy way to find a draft schematic as you grind boxes. I was grinding the field wear line of tailor doing ribbed shirts. I pretty much did what the original poster in this thread did to find them. It was #14. As I ground out each box, the number for ribbed shirts changed.

To find it, you need to relog so that it resets where the schematics are. Next, hit ctrl-s and count the number of new schematics in the box you just trained. In my case, it was 16. 14 + 16 = 30. The new number for ribbed shirts was 30. The next box had 20 schems in it. Ribbed shirts became #50.

This leads to the conclusion that new schematics are added at the beginning of the sequence. So if you're looking for some schematic that you just got with your last training and there are, say, 20 schematics total in the box you trained, youshould find that schematic between #00-19.

Don't forget to relog after you train though, because this is what resets the numbers.

Actually, instead of cancelling, why not just hit the 'back' button with your mouse? Unless you are trying to do everything with both hands on the keyboard - in which case cancelling may actually be more efficient.

BTW, ctrl-up arrow is a brilliant (tm Guiness) bit of info!

I do a variation of this that once it is set up just requires me to hit a button and sit back.

I have dummy macro's set up. I normally use 5 crafting tools when I macro grind. So, in a dummy macro I set up each of the5 sequences as referencing draft schematic 01, 02, 03, 04, 05. I put 1 sec of resource time and 1 sec pause between each. At the end of the macro I access the next F key slot with the name of the second macro in the squence. Then I name this something like FSchem1to5.

I then copy and paste that macro into a new macro and rename the draft schematic numbers to 06, 07, 08, etc.... then rename it FSchem6to10, and so forth. Since I have plenty of macro room I then have over 10 macros set up to help me find the schem I need. With only about 3 seconds on each draft schem you cycle through 5 of them in under 20 seconds. The macro then accesses the next F key slot and starts searching through 6 to 10, etc..

I keep these "search" macros in one of my un-used F key slot sections and just hit Shift + F1, etc.. to run them. Then I sit back and start counting.I keep /dumpready in a standard F key and then when the schem number I need comes up I can just hit it to dump the macro. With multiple crafting proffesions that have a lot of schematics (for instance my one toon is Master Artisan/Master Chef) this makes findingschematic numbers much easier.

As an example. This week I was needing to grind some Thakatillo for some FS xp. I ran myabove macro set and sat back, had a drink, and just counted schematics pouring across my screen. At #54 I hit Thakatillo and was able to stop the macro. If your too lazy to count then you can add /say "This is number 1" between each line, making your toon count for you as the macro runs.

This approach takes just a little bit of work up front but using the cut and paste keys it goes fast. Once it's set up you never have to hunt and peck for another draft schematic number again.

Hope that makes sense and helps someone.
