They seem to be random, is there anyway to control the results?

Nope. It's random. However it's only possible to get some stats with higher experimentation levels (like Min/Max on the Muzzler)

I just stand at the crafting station, experimenting my little heart out until I get the kind of PUP that suits me 
Usually, Grip, to give either a Max Speed +31% PUP or Max Damage +31% PUP.
I throw everything else away coz it's only those two that seem to sell.

Just gotta keep on crafting til you get what you want. I usually wait for Speed and Max Damage to come, then i experiment and hope for min damage, or mind cost.

Don't forget your talking about ranged pup's, with melee pup's you won't be seeing any max damage, min damage or speed on the primary stat.

I made a ranged Powerup with 28.(somthing)% max and a 17.(somthing)% min dmg.
Is it a keeper? if so what should i charge a crate?

Thats not bad at all. You might find your buyers want 32 on the one side. But its good to have any min/max combo at all. I charge 6k a crate for mine.But prices depend a lot on server and location. I can charge more since my vendors are on Dantooine. So i charge the tourist trap tax on most of my items.
Check the other vendors on your planet and see what they are charging to get a good feel for the market.

Heh thanks for the reply. My vendor is also going to be placed on dantooine. Glad to see i didnt make total crap ^^.

Make sure your mineral and chemical are over say 995 OQ. I use only 1,000 OQ materials. This will get you 33.16% on the first stat and 16.33% on the second stat. This is as high as you can get on a powerup. Higher OQ stats and amazing successes will help you get 3rd and 4th stat areas on your powerups as well.
While these powerup combinations are random I have noticed that specific resource combinations do give the same combinations more often. I have at minimum 3 mineral and 3 chemicals I use. I then mix and match them as I make my schems for powerups. These all generate the top rated powerups but different resource combinations tend to yield the same combinations (like one mix of mineral/chemcial gives me more max/min damage combinations).
I keep over 200 crates of these on my powerup vendor and they sell for $2K per crate.
