I find good spawns of resources but all are on hills, and what not ... So annoying when you try to place harvie and all you see is red..... Anger gah!

could be worse..
you could find a really nice, flat, wide open spot, with a high concentration of a high quality resource...
and not be able to put anything down because there are already 100 harvesters there, thanks to lot trades or legitimate people with multiple accounts, or even structures whose owners have quit the game..

Remember on the hills and stuff if you find a really good resource and nowhere else to drop. You can drop a personal in those spots. Sure it wont give you as much of a harvest but you can get it if its one of those super rare resources

Unless there happens to be a dead log nearby... and you cant clear it with your CDEF pistol.

Use a non-CH pet or droid tank to do it. They dont cost skill points.

i guess placing a large ranger camp doesnt work? the terrain goes back to normal too fast i suppose..............

The area would be yellowed out by the camp. It would like placing it near a lair.

The top % spots always appear on hills, in lakes, or in the middle of cities 
It woul be nice if you were able to place harvesters in tighter more trickier positions when you achieved survey 4
