Merchant xp is from vendors, as soon as you get to xx3x artisan, just put down a vendor, and the merchant xp will slowly trickle in.

Simple answer for artisan xp, make anything in the artisan schematic list for xp.. efficient grinding.. check the FAQ since it has info on how to grind out artisan.

well here is the problem i really don't know why but when i craft just basic things like tents and traps i don't get artisan xp. right now thats what i need because im not to xx3x artisan. i just started so now im at xx1x artisan. anyway please help i really need it. but thank you for at least trying.

Tents and Traps give scouting xp, not artisan. Try something that you get at nov. artisan (survival knifes iirc)

And to get merchant xp, just place as many vendors as you can. You get 1 vendor at Artisan business 3. I think you get a 2nd at business 4 (my memory could be wrong on this one). Place them both. Either way, you want to place as many vendors as you can. And if you want to get to master merchant the fastest, then go up the merchant management tree first - this gives you more vendors.

You get 150 merchant xp per hour per vendor that you have placed. And make sure the vendor has been initialized, has maintenance paid, and has at least 1 item for sale. See the sticky threads at the top of the merchant forum for good info about merchant.

I did the Master Artisan grind on Mineral Survey Tools. It only took a big chunk of Steel, and really not that much of Steel, at that.

It was just a LOT of clicking, heh.

Oh, and for more Merchant xp, send an email of an desperate plea for your friends to reguarly come by your shop and click on your vendors. Once they click your vendor(s) once, they'll have to wait 10 minutes before their clicking will generate more Merchant xp for you.

If possible, ask an established Merchant friend to let you put a couple xp vendors in their shop. Name the vendors "click to give me some xp"and you'll probably get a lot more xp every day.
