Almost all of the quests (that I know of anyway) require combat. A CL 5 player won't be able to do them alone. The game isn't really set up for a pure crafter. I'm guessing they intend for someone to have a combat profession mixed with a crafting profession. Of course, it's possible to be a pure crafter, but your options are pretty limited if you don't have fighting skills.

One option is to group up with other people and run missions. Jabba's place out in western Tatooine has quite a few missions that are lower combat level. CL 5 might be a bit low, but you can probably find some other people to adventure with you. I'd recommend adding some combat skills (or medic skills, or creature handler skills) and venture out with small groups of low to mid level combat folks and have a good time.

Most of the pure crafters have either done a lot of combat and adventuring before changing to all-crafter, or have a combat alt character to play with the quests. The crafter type quests are pretty limited.

I've been playing for about a month now, and with the exception of the Mos Eisly quest, I've seen no evidence of artisan friendly quests. Sure, the terminals are good for a mission or two, but none of them yield any real reward. I understand that there are schematics and such that you'll find in loot from time to time, but my scrawny little Master Artisan/Shipwright would faint at the sight of any real combat, so, with the exception of grouping, which i don't mind doing, is there any quests I can survive? For protection in the field Altaen can use a pistol at Combat Level 5. I'd appreciate any advice.
