After I logged in, I made some camps and an hour later I could no longer I get the message "Failed to start crafting session" everytime I attempt to open the General Crafting Tool. I am not fighting nor doing something else when I try to open the GCT. I've tried relogging but no luck. Did anyone experience this before and could you tell me how you manage to get the GCT open. Thanks

Left click the crafting tool untill the radial pops up, then hold your cursor over the first option untill "remove prototype" appears above it. Try clicking that and it may clear up. Also, make sure you have inventory room.

It's a common issue. Open your inventory and find the GCT. Click and select start crafting and above that will be the option to "retrieve crafted item". The reason you can't continue to craft is that your inventory was 100% and the tool couldn't empty itself into your inventory.

yeah i trashed two of them to try and fix it then it happened to me again....what i did to finally fix it was when I held the mouse over the crafter and held it down the final time instead of "start crafting" or whatever it promps for on the radial menu, it said "finish crafting" or something like that...i clicked it and it deposited an item i had made into my inventory and started working again...

the first two times this may NOT have been an option...but if it happens to me again i will check the radial menu to see if a crafting session is stuck....

may be part bug, not sure...

If you get this problem it can be due to your inventory being full during the crafting session.

The crafted item is stuck inside the crafting tool in its "output hopper". To retrieve it and get your toll working again make sure you have some space then select the crafting tool until the radial dial shows. Go to the start crafting option at the top and let the mouse hover for a second or two - you will then get a "get crafted item" (or something similar) option. Select that and the item will be placed in your inventory and the tool should work fine again.

Watch your invetory space meter (dont use more than 1 equiped backpack - they show as increasing space on the meter but dont actually).

Use the practice box if you dont need the items (but remember to turn it off before you craft something you do want). It is found on the last screen before item creation and changed the "create object" button to "practice".

hey guys,

i'm not sure how it happened, but suddenly, i can't craft anymore. i have 4 food and chem crafting tools, but now when i double click them to craft it just gives me the message "failed to start crafting session". i'm not in combat, nor am i swimming, and i don't have any state effects on me, and the crafting tools' hoppers are empty. i don't know waht it is. i tried to initiate combat and even got myself killed, hoping it would reset, but it didn't. logging out and back in didn't work either. can anyone help me??

I haven't tried /cancelcraftingsession, however:

/stopcraftingsession

definitely works with this bug.

Go and attack something , you must have pressed two hotkeys for you crafting thingys at once (did that a million times)

Attacking ends any crafting session
