Thread: Did crafting times just get longer?

I need someone to check me on something-- I'd like to find out if I'm imagining things, or if I should indeed be annoyed.

I just spent some time crafting muzzle powerups at a public crafting station in Keren on Naboo. As I did, I noticed something that's new to me: creating actual objects now takes 45 seconds. I could swear it used to be only around 30-35 seconds... which, interestingly, is still the amount of time it takes to create a practice muzzle.

Is this new, or did it happen a while back and I just missed it? If this is indeed yet another case of increasing the cost of Artisan actions (like taking many more Action points to sample or forage), then I have to ask: why was it necessary to do this? If this is something that was done as a response to AFK crafting (just as the increased removal of Action points was specifically due to AFK sampling), then that is yet another reason for me to feel extremely critical toward those players who do this. I don't like my game being damaged because some people just can't bring themselves to play within the game. (Sorry, butspending hoursdoing some real-world activitieswhilea brain-dead macro loops through a crafting recipe is NOT playing within the game.)

What's more, if I'm not just imagining a longer crafting cycle, I also fault whatever developer was responsible for this change. Darn it, if as a developeryouwant to discourageAFK crafting, then add a couple stinkin' lines of code to prevent crafting commands from being used within macros -- don't make all crafters pay by increasingcraftingcycle times!

I don't like being irritated like this; I'd much rather focus onthe positive aspects of anything. But this is annoying enough to merit comment and discussion.

Fire away.

Are you experimenting your powerups to make them better for sales?

Each time you run an experiment you increase the complexity of the item by one. Each added complexity level adds to the time it takes you to manufacture the item in question.

Yes, but then I always have. Still, you might be onto something here. I'll try some different experimentation styles and see how my creation times are affected.

Thanks for the suggestion.

(As I've said, I don't think the Artisan skills or professionare broken... but that doesn't mean I want to see the lives of Artisansmade more difficult.Apologies if I'm inappropriately twitchy on the subject.)

I have noticed the crafting times have increased as well. I am already master, I don't 'grind' so I always experiment everything up. It seems to me that the time for the crafting tool to finish the item has almost doubled from what it was several days ago.
