i dont understand the difference in putting a heavy mineral mining harvester on a radioactive site and a fusion generator....does the fusion generator need a radioactive site as well or can it be placed anywhere and make its own radioactive resource?

Fusions have to be placed on a radioactive spot and they harvest units of radioactive units. The advantage of a fusion is that it is far more productive than a heavy mineral extractor, doesn't require any power to operate and has a maintenance of 30 (as opposed to a heavy's rate of 45).

Fusion generator also has a max rate of 13 (vs 7 for a large mineral harvester).
