i dunno guys im at a loss. i maxed out my surveying skill moons ago, but of course it kept on collecting them to their redundant ceiling. now i havent been watching these forums religiously, but does anyone know of plans by or suggestions to the devs concerning an elite profession beyond surveyor? or, and this is way out there, an in game system that would allow us to recycle these points somewhere else. your thoughtare always welcome.

there used to be two elite profession that led off the top of the surveying branch: farmer and miner. Removed during Beta for lack of testers interest in them. Benefits trickled down to everyone so that everyone could use more than personal harvesters and certification for medium and heavy harvesters were not necessary.

i personally think the deletion was a mistake. even if no one wanted to play as a farmer or miner, people would have filled those ranks as they are vital to the entire crafting economy. And those miiners and farmers would be some of the richest people in the game, kinda like some of them still are.

ell see that would have been interesting cuz my main source of income (or at least before the bazaar was flooded with resources) was through the sale of ressources. now in beta yeah i couldnt see anyone being interested in miner or farmer but then again i cant say as i was interested in ressource excavation when i bought the game myself. the fact of the matter is if it was there and it gave sufficient bonuses by following its path then people would follow it.

The problem was, in beta, personal miners mined at an Ideal Rate of 5 kg/hr (5 units/minute), and so there was little reason to actually build medium and heavy miners.

On top of that, harvesters didn't require maintenance at the time, and we were all allowed 75 lots. It's no wonder why no one used medium or heavy miners in beta.

Removing the miner, imo, was a bad idea.

I came up with a cool new class but found out it was in Beta, the class was miner.

Funny a player who was never in beta could think of a class only to find out it used to exist after the a few posts.

I want to know what they're gonna let me do with my 240k of Architect Experience that's sitting there because I have MA.

I really don't see the point of additional Exp. when you have nowhere to spend it either.

But, who knows, it may come in handy one of these days.

Well, I'm certain it will be required for Novice Urban Planner if it's implemented as a new profession and you go that route.
