Thread: Leasing lots
I pay others for the use of their lots, and a lot depends on what size harvester you're starting with. If you don't really know the person, start with personals, so you won't lose out on much if they disappear or rip you off.
I'd pay around 2k per week per lot, depending on the resource I put them on and the density.
4k per week for mediums, again depending on the resource and density.
I supply all the harvesters, maintenance and power, and I pay them for travel and clone costs when they need to come move them for me. I pay once a week, with a bonus thrown in if I absolutely need them moved in mid week due to a shift or something along those lines.
I don't use heavy harvesters in my program, mainly due to the cost and my inablility to get them back if something were to happen.
There is ONE effective way of getting more lots. It's a "double mule". However I'm affraid that if more people start doing it that SOE will start destroying inactive characters or severely limiting the number of servers we play on and that would be a tough blow for hardcore gamers.

Leasing someone a harvester is very risky and highly griefable. On Intrepid we pretty much stick to placing mining preorders for 1c per resource (with power supplied).

I would think if you wanted to pay for an account that you hardly play every month SOE would not have an issue with it.
Balance is balance, but money is what they want.
As for leasing, it is sounding like it is not worth the trouble. I could just go slap the harvesters up and net 4k a day each small harvester pumping base garbage for grindage into the bazaar.

Not quite. The "double mule" is where you mule for someone else and they mule for you. In essence it is a "mule account" except you're not paying for it.
Yah if everyone did it... we'd be looking at lik 2,750,000 mines per server.... I think SOE would deffently crack down. Luckly most people are to lazy to bother.
If so, how much do you lease to them for and any advice on setup?
