Thread: Vehicle Repair Exploit...

Is there any word on when this exploit will be getting fixed. I am tired of no one needing to buy vehicles since they can jsut repair theirs using this eploit...even for disabled vehicles. I don;t even mind forcing them to use garages, but something has gotta happen to resolve this. It seems the only people needing vehicles are the new players. This also hurts the value of a vehicle too since demand practically = 0 and supply = maxxed out.

This is why I stopped making vehicles. I have 2 swoops left I have had for a month. No demand. And I refuse to lower my prices since I could get more for the resources. It would be a waste of resources to lower them IMO. As for the two I have, I might just give them to friends.

It has to be fixed soon... why it hasn't, I have no idea... ruins one of the most useful items the Master Artisan can make, and a vehicle is supposed to be expensive, not free...

They said after they get more garages in the game, so either in pub 7 or in pub 8

A reply to one of my PA said they "have more important" things to be working on at the moment.
Which means the bug is not an easy fix so it'll probably not be done for a while.
What do I know about bugs? I've been in games testing/designingsince 1994 so I know a little bit.
If it was a simple fix it's something that could be done with a hotfix rather than give us blow off's.
It "should" be as simple and making vehicles and pets 'autostore' if you use a shuttle. But obvioulsy
it's not that easy.
I guess I'll keep the +80's to +100's on my vendor and put anything less on the bazaars.

Even if the exploit was fixed, I'm sure it eventually will be. Inmost cases its cheaper to just pay to repair the vehicle in the garage than buy a new one. Fixing this exploit won't help the demand for vehicles. They are pretty much a one shot item like houses and they went through the same price deflation as houses. I sell my vehicles for 3cpu and I don't otherwise worry about it.

TH or one of the Devs said in a post that the exploit is currently being tolerated until the player city garages go into the game. At the moment there aren't enough places to repair your vehicals, particularly on planets like LOK and Dant where I believe there are NONE despite the fact that both planets (on Naritus anyway) have decent sized populations.

After 'repairing' my vehicle several times at a garage only to have my money taken and no actual repairs done, then having my ticket answered with "Sorry, this is a known issue and we cannot refund credits," then all I can say is:
Sorry, this is a known issue.
I will continue to use this 'feature' to get my money back.

I'm with the guy above me. I tried to use garages to repair my speeders, but I found that it would have the same damage when I logged in the next day. So, I wen through 2 speeders, before I figured out the 'exploit' with shuttles, that fixes the 'bug' with garages. May we hope that the devs fix both problems, and not just one.

Yeah, they said after there are more garages and more access to them in game.
Considering that garages are going into player cities in the next patch, I assume they will look at fixingthe bugfor that patch or sometime afterwards.

what the heck is your problem?
FIRST off its NOT an exploit,
it is a bug,
an exploit is useing a bug to give you an unfair advantage against otehr players.
hint, you are not getting an unfair advantage.
SECOND, you charge too much for vehicles,
maybe if you guys charged less it wouldent be such a big deal, get off ur lazy butt and master something other than artisan to make you money you bum
