Don't all these habitats just look like locked containers? It'd be nice if it'd acutally have some nice graphics or some-such to make them more attractive or distinguishable from each other...

You use these 'creature habitats' that artisans can create. The live sample is used during the crafting process.

In the end you get a Creature Habitat with some creatures in it (looks like a locked container if you drop it). The only thing they are good for is releasing the animals which then fly around for a bit. Apparently they are sometimes used by entertainers, although I've never been able to sell any even at 10 credits.

They are good to play a practical trick on curious new players/friends. If they are on your admin list. Most people who haven't seen one are so curious they have to take a peek. Watch their face when the container disappears and the butterflies or whatever fly away.

True. In my case, the friend had already earned my trust. Didn't mean he wasn't curious. I mean how many times when you visit someone's house and see a container do you check it out. We can't help ourselves even though we know we can't take whats in them. As an aside, didn't I read somewhere that this has now/is going to be fixed, so that we can't even view whats in a container in a house that we don't own or are on the admin. list?
