Can my fellow master artisans please give me some tips on getting good resources. Can you get different quality of the same resource in different areas of one planet? I was using someone elses lots for some of my harvesters and forgot about them and the person whose lots they are did not bother to tell me she was getting maintenance e mails about them and now I lost like 400k in harvesters. Any ideas on how to avoid that, other than not forgetting about them *kicks self*.

Spawns are pretty much random so you need to keep your eye outon your survey tools for new spawns then sample to see if they are any good and/or visit www.swgcraft.com which has a list of current resources, provided by the community.

If its the identical resource (same name) then it doesn't matter where on the planet you go it will have the same stats, but you will more than likely find different concentrations of the same resource on the same planet.

Since all messages on borrowed lots go to the owner, I'm not aware of any way to 'not forget'. I would suggest you find a friend that doesn't mind spending 2 seconds to forward a copy of any pertinent e-mails to you. If they are static lots from someone not playing on your server then I'd suggest making a note in your diary lol.

It's tricky- I usually can't be bothered to spend too much time looking for the best- I always have some harvestors running, and just keep stockpiles since most resources are good for something, even if they don't have high stats in what you want (I have about 20K of SR 1000 amorphous gems sitting around incase they turn out to be valuable)
