Thread: Artisan components & other info

Anyway, thanks for the list, but don't you think you could list, i.e., doctors as able to make bio effect controllers, since you do need that skill to be a doctor? Would be lovely
Right, but that would go against the basic objective of this creation, which was to assist players who are, say Droid Engineers, in realizing that their profession makes two components (storage module & 3PO chassis) that the architect profession uses.
Doctors already realize that their schematics require medic components, just as tailors would realize that their schematics could require componenents from Domestic Arts, were that the case. However, it isn't (as far as I can remmeber). Either way, I'm sure you see my point.
All the same, thank you, I'm glad it could be of some use. ![]()
The spreadsheet has been updated. Formatting was streamlined and some corrections were made. See notes for details

See, the problem with that is that all doctors are medics, but not all medics are doctors. The bio effect controller is a medic schematic, so that's why the asteriks is in the medic column and not also in the doctor column.
But you are right. Doctors can craft bio effect controllers and they do use them in their profession.
Well, there's not really a problem here. Just add the asterix in the field IF you need to have that skill to make the item. I.e., a doctor will always be able to make bio effect controllers, since they need that skill to be doctors, while a master architect doesn't necesarilly be able to produce the master artisan stuff, therefor it should not have an asterix in the architect field.
Anyway, good work ![]()
Found a discrepancy with weaponsmith and artisan components . . .
Blaster Power Handlers, Blaster-rifle barrels, projectile feed mechanisms, and weapon scopes are Novice Weaponsmith schematics. There are several power ups available to artisans that look similar, however, they are not used in the creation of weapons.

Additionally, medical sub-components should be bolded in doctor, combat medic and medic. The better the subcomponent, the better medicine.
Two very good points. Thanks. I guess I assumed to much by thinking people would know the difference between a powerup and a component.
On the medicine, thanks. I thought that this was the case but didn't want to presume. ...and now you're famous. ![]()
