I am new to the world of Artisans and I have 5 personal harvestors in which I am placing to fuel my tradeskills and possibly make some credits as well. I am going to master Doctor and I am grinding my way through Stim packs at an unbelievable rate. When I survey for resources, what is important? I know that I should try to find the highest possible concentration, but then after I retreive a sample, what attributes should I be looking at to see fi it is a worth-while place to set up my harvestor. I was told to go for the highest OQ possible, but it seems to me that there has to be more to it than that. Any clues you can toss my way would be very appreciated. Thank you.

Open your crafting tool and call up the schematic for what you want to make. Look in the window where it tells you what resources are required to make the item. Scroll down below that and it will list what stats matter most for that item.
Like if you want to make a crafting tool, the schematic will show "conductivity 100%. That means all that matters to making the best tool is conductivity, OQ or any of the other stats could all be zero and as long as the cond is high, you will make a good tool.

I second that - you have to open your tool to see what resource stats are important, and in what ratio (i.e. 60% OQ/40% something else). Usually OQ will be important. But something that's fabulous for one crafting profession may be utter crap for the next, so if you branch out from doc, make sure to always check your stats.

Doctor is a good example of the post above. If you look at the stim pack schematic it should say
66% OQ
33% PE
Both OQ and PE are important. OQ is twice as important, but if you have a material, 1000OQ, 1PE and a material 700OQ, 700PE. The second should make the better packs.
(I didn't take into account # of charges, that relies on another stat, DR I believe, but I hope you get the idea.)
