I just hit master artisan and I got an option to make a bird cage. So i made one. Now what do I do with that? I put it by my vendor to make it look better. But I experimented on it to make it better. Why would you need to experiment on it? Anyways one other thing what do you do with the enivroment container? I put some butterflies (that I found in a nest)in it and then opened it and they just flew away. What is that all about? Can anyone help me?

The disappointing truth is ... you have already discovered all that there is to discover about those two things.

I have seen someone use two bird cages as a "torch stand" (drop all three in the same spot, and rotate one bird cage 90 degrees). I arranged one of my bird cages to have a fish "swimming" through it. Oh, and back when EmpressPalpatine decided to built a make-shift tie-fighter on Naritus, we used a bird cage as the "targetting window".

The creature habitats look like bachelor-pad furniture, sorta ...

All in all, kinda lame. Master Artisans are for:

  • Experimenting on Weapon power-ups (go go max/min damage muzzles!)

  • Speeder Bikes

  • A couple of Architectural sub-components.

which is three things - not bad for a master-level character, comparatively.

Dont forget the hell of MA subcomponents Droid Engineers need

Although most DEs are also Master Artisan, there are a few that prefer buy the subcomponents or the schem to make them

birdcage is just deko like furniture.

well, to the one complaining not to be able to make alot big stuff.

what the heck u expect? artisan is just a simple basic profession, sure u should not be able to make tonns uber stuff. artisan is the producer of some valiable subcomponents, nothing else. it was actually even a failure to let artisan make vehicles as a basic profession.

and yes i am master artisan also its still a basic profession

Yeah. But its not THAT basic.

This genre is SciFi correct? Who wants to make birdcagesand habitats in this environment?

It's not a failure to have them making vehicles, its a failure that they just reskined and dumbed down a tamed dewback to makea vehicle.

It's also a failure that its complexity is so mundane. A Two-handed axehas more floating parts in the schematic. Hell a CDEF is more elaborate.

There is room for an elite vehicle class, the current ones doen't even carry armaments for battlefields. Where is my gungan shield generator wagon? Where is my glob tossers?

Where is my heavy Trade Fed, howitzers?

Just a sec.. I wanna continue that thought, but my inventory has reached it max of snails and seaweed.

Bird Cages make also...nice display stands for Force Crystals =)

Just drop the stand and a crystal on the same spot, and, viola!

You can also rename them to: Force Crystal Display Stand (or Dual Force Crystal...), if you want to be extra-creative, hehe =).

it's interesting that you can make a bird cage, but you can't put a bird in it.

I use one as a candle holder now on Test With the new patch and the move up/down commands and lamps/candles, I have one hanging from the ceiling in one room with a candle in it. It looks quite pretty

Agreed though that it would be nice to be able to put a ch tamed Rasp in there, or for BE's to be able to make flying creatures so we could at least drop the pet in the house then use the move commands to manually place it in the cage.

Neomodian's are the aliens thatran the Trade Federation, those buggy eyed fellas on the Droideka controls.

Seems like a dumb object wasting database space to me. But lotsa things in SWG are wasteful, take for example the Beam Rifle.
