Yes, Artisans make them. Requieres space mining resources tho.
I'll have to look into it.

the hard part is getting people to gather the space resources needed to craft them.
heard you dont get much of the asteroids so getting 750 of each will take a while

That's what the TRADE FORUMS are for.

Yea that might be what the trade forums are for but on my server Astroid Resources go for 50+cpu so at 750 units the base cost of a repair kit would be 37,500 credits for just the resources. So figure in a 10% mark up 41,250 credits for a single repair kit.How many people do you know are going to pay that much.

That prices also increases dramaticly if astroid resources become sparse or if only a handful of people on the server are suppling them. I've seen times where roid resources where 150cpu. Which means 112,500 just for the resources and with just a 10% mark up again. 123,750.

So unless you have a bundle of them or can find people to supply them to you cheap you might look to just craft lots of swoops with just a hand full of the repair kits for people who get their barc destroyed.

why don't you go mine your own asteroid resources?

At least doing so you will understand why asteroid resources aren't cheap.

An heads up for you:

For mine efficently you need a mark III mining laser ( lvl 7 ) a tractor beam and a crafted cargo hold. To equip the good mining laser you need at least equipment III, to mine petrolchemical in Yaviin you need at least to be at thesame lvl couse you will face tier 3 asteroid pirates.

Usually asteroids are around 10km from neares space station, using the tractor beam gives you 20 units of resources/chunk, using only the laser you get 10 units/chunk, this means that at best you can fill your cargo hold (1550 for the crafted large one) in 20 min with a tractorbeam or in 30 min with only the laser (counting also the time wasted on fighting pirates and flying from/to the landing station).

You need to land to get resources from your crgo hold, this mean it will take around 4-5 hours to get enough resources for 10 Vehicle repair kits, in the same time in space you can run 2 full sets of destroy duty mission at tier 4 getting around 1+ milion from duty reward/looted credits/loot sales.

This set the lower price for the resources at the high prices you are seeing, if you cannot get better money from mining than from running duty missions there is no point on mine specially since from duty missions you can get good components to fit in your ship or if you are on the right factiion even blackscale helmets or faction points to sell to increment your income.

About the handfull of ppl buying the VRKs in my server i'm not the only one selling them, i try to put everydy 8-10 on my vendor at 200k each and i sell them all in a an hour or 2.

I can't keep up, I'm selling 'em for 150k and they're disappearing fast.

You can get a basic mining laser, cargo hold and tractor beam for free.

Talk to Flash in the Kachirho cantina...he'll set you right. You'll be able to mine your 750 petrochem and 750 carbonaceous asteroid then, then get an artisan to make the kit for you.

If you are selling them at 150k each you are crazy...you could sell them for 300k each and still sell out.

I bought 5 of them the other day for 20k each.. could not believe my eyes/luck!

/hugs vendor search

But I agree, asteroid resources are a bloody pain to mine, hats off to you hardworking miners! I'd happily pay.. ooh.. 100-200k each depending on how desperate I get.

i pay 80cpu for the asteroid stuff used in these kits. so it costs me 120k just to make 1 refurb kit. so if you see people selling for 50cpu, consider yourself lucky.
