What category does Polymer fall under in the Resources? Energy or Mineral? Im guessing Mineral but I do not know what type of Mineral it is? Trying to make an Adhesive Mesh which requires Polymer to make.

That resource list should help you. look under Chemical, Inert Petrochemicals, Polymer. Clicking on the plymer link will bring up all the resources I currently have in the database that were submitted by the community.

why can't i survey other chemicals...i can only sample for fiberplast...is this a bug?

The planet you're on only has fiberblast, go to another planet.

I think that's the problem anyway.

I was able to Survey for Polymer prior to the mineral shift. I was very suprised to see it is not even on our planet anymore (Corellia). It makes it challengeing to be a tailor with one of your main ingredients missing. I thought perhaps it was a bug but it may also be a mineral shift. I wish I knew for sure. What planets are showing Polymer now?

It's a chemical. Use the chemical survey kit to locate it and sample. It's generally very common.

Finding polymers in 98% concentrations is becoming habit forming in fact.

is it listed with another name?

Having trouble finding the post, but polymers should exist on most planets. It should be listed in the chemical survey tool:

If you are highly unlucky, you may need to take a trip on a starship.
