Probably has been answered a dozen times, but for artisan foods only (such as Blob Candy) if I'd like to experiment on them only having Master Artisan, can I use my minimum 10 exp pts from Master Artisan or would I have to pick up Chef for food experimentation pts?

Thanks your help.

For any item, the experimentation skill used is the one gained in the same profession. Foods from the Domestic Arts tree are artisan items, so they use artisan experimentation. Only foods learned from chef boxes use chef experimentation. CDEF weapons are artisan items, so use artisan experimentation (not weaponsmith).

Although, crafting stations may still be using artisan (not architect) experimentation skills. I remember seeing that bug reported a while ago, but I'm not sure if it's still the case.

Anyway, if you're only making food from Domestic Arts, you only need Artisan 44xx (since Master doesn't give any bonus to artisan experimentation) to get the 10 points (plus whatever experimentation bonuses you've got from being human or skill tapes).

Thank you for the response. Just wanted to verify since I was unsure.
