Hi folks, ive been doing some thinking lately (not much else to do in SWG atm) and thought of a few ways to spice up the artisan profession which would enhance other gamers too.

First off, the Juke Box:Master Artisan/Architect?

I know making these craftable has been discussed before, but by the looks of things to no avail.

My idea was to make these craftable by MAs but when crafted they only come with a few basic tracks.

The rest are looted as discs, once looted the owner of the 'Box can upload the tracks.

But to make sure both the loot and craft are always in cycle the Juke Box's should have a life span of say 750Hrs* (roughly a month) or maybe make it longer or shorter through an Exp line in crafting. And the Discs could also have a seperate lifespan. (once a jukebox LS is gone any Looted Discs can be removed and placed in a new JB)

*the lifespan in hours is of continued play, unlike now with the JBs start playing when you enter the room, in my view they should play through the tracks (have a random play and loop option aswell) once they are turned on regaurdless of whether anyone is in the room. They can be turned on/off by the building admins as normal.

Also make them come in a variety of skins to match peoples different styles of housing.

As well as just been a fun addition to have to impress the shoppers its usefull while on a long craft grind-just had mine on now while doing some crafting instead of the droning noise of my Crafting Stations.

Second: Pup Schematics: Master Artisan

Limited use pup schematic with 2 positive enhancers.

The schematic would have a stats such as increase damage and speed (keep one lower than the other like in the old days) and also Number of attempts (ranging from 1-5) when the schematic was learnt you would have 1-5 attemps to create a manufacturing schematic (ranging from 100-500 also depending on how good the loot was).

This works like so:You learn schematic, Go through crafing stage, then you can choose to create manufacturing schematic. if you had some bad Exps. you can click no and begin again (using up an 'Attempt') once happy with your results you can create a manufacuring schematic as you would a normal craft. The loot schematic is then removed regaurdless of remaining Attempts.

What you guys think?

My only concern is that this would perhaps generate too much money for only a 'Base' profession.

i like the juke box... i know its not craftible and only lasts for so long but i think your right it would be cool to craft it and also if it lasted forever.... it would also be cool if a player in some one eles cantina could pay to use juke(set price) and the owner of it could chose a bunch of pre programed songs or recored there own, then if there was going to be a show in the cantina it could be turned off (so some idiot wouldlnd pay to turn it on in the middle of a show) Thats my imput on it.

I would say rather than have loot tracks I would like to see an artisancraftable disk that entertainers can record on to go in the jukeboxes.
