I don't think it's even necessary to deal with posts like that. if people think that the kits are expensive, they should help relieve the cost by helping crafters mine the resources. there's a price for convenience... and it's still a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new BARC/AV-21/jetpack.

edit: doh, typo

thanks Pappi ,I know better, but something about that post just set me off - now that the football season is going I feel much better (until my fantasy team starts to lose than watch out).

short of spending hours gathering asteroids, the cheapest i can get asteroids on Lowca is 80cpu. i just bought enough asteroids to craft 12 kits. so that cost me 120k per kit. i marked them on the vendor for 250k. i then made a trade forum post, and in 20 minutes they were all gone. one person bought them all, most likely to mark them up and resell for a larger profit. i think these resellers are one of the biggest reasons for prices going up.

I respectfully disagree.

The prices are going up because the owners of the rare vehicles have the money to spend and are willing to spend as much as 650K (sunrunner). If I put 12 items on my vendors and they blew out in 20 minutes you can rest assured that the next time I stocked them the price would rise substantially. For me this is the best part of the game, exploring the virtual economy created by the players.

Prices are high for the kits because they are new --- remember what Tatooine Banners were selling for whenthey first came out? In addition I would guess that a lot of people had disabled AV's and Jetpacks gathering dust in thier datapads and were overjoyed at haveing the chance to bring them back from the dead. Once we get past this phase the retail price will start coming down.

my 2 credits.

To the OP,

This issue seems to come in with the tide. The dev's seem to wisely ignore it.

ah, i made a fortune off of those. i looted a scheme the first day they hit live, and did a 500 item factory run. sold em for 50k each, and they moved off the vendors REALLY fast.

you know what.. let people charge what ever the hell they want... why????

Cuase if its over priced dont buy thething.. that person has the ability to make an artisan and make them and charge what ever he wants..

When i see looters selliing AV-21 schems.. for 200k each i dont complain.. i dont buy themgs.. Ohh yea.. must be worth 200k when there are over 500 forsale on my server..i bought a bunch for 10k a long time ago.. still have um, loot one or find someone selling for cheaper.. if i drop some crap loot on my vendor for 1 mill.. its my buessiness.. if i sell paint kits for 100 credits.. thats my bussiness too.. Dont like dont buy it.. or do something about it.. like go mine me 50k units of astroid and ill make um cheap : )

Sir, not to stir the pot, because I really don't care, but here is a quote from your original post (emphasis is mine):

SOE make your mind up on this tool or start to implement a proper price cap on the amount they sell for so its an open tool for all players alike, and to the crafter that hates the idea tough its a case of stop making the dictation and start SERVING the community to make the game more enjoyable for us all... if that means we have to all work together as a server wide to bring everything back into balance and forget about profit margins then and only then will far star and the rest of the servers be enjoyable for all new and old alike!

Please learn to lie better.

I must chuckle. If someone is upset about prices, they should come to Ahazi (or Bria from what I hear) and we can watch their head explode when they do a vendor search.

Ahazi's the place where people pay the 50k "my shop is closed until BE tissued clothing crafting is fixed but since I can't make a tent (with vendors) private I'll put on a fee" fee to come in and shop... and usually only leave with a few items
