2 kinds:
the special crafting tools, that you can make if you are an artisan, or can buy, best to get from a master artisan.
there are person crafting stations, those are for the highest end jobs

Hello ZtheDestroyer,
Specialized crafting tools are created using the Generic Crafting Tool you received when you started Artisan.
You need Engineering I skill box in order for the schematics to show.
The schematics you are looking for are:
Food and Chemical Crafting Tool
Structure and Furniture Crafting Tool
Weapon, Droid, and General Crafting Tool
Clothing and Armor Crafting Tool
The quicker method is to look in theBazaar. It usually has them on sale under "Tools". Look at the Tool Effectiveness (TE) rating before you make a purchase. The higher the TE (theoretical max is 15), the better. A high TE will help you avoid critical failures during assembly.
Good luck,
-D

A specialized crafting tool is one of these:
- Food/Chem crafting tool
- Weapon/Droid/General Item crafting tool
- Armor/Clothing crafting tool
- Structural crafting tool
So basically everything except the "Generic crafting tool". These are required for higher complexity items (even higher complexity requires a crafting station, higher still a private station) and are necessary for experimenting on an item. You have to use the tool matching the type of item you're making:food/stims need a Food/Chem tool, harvesters/houses/furniture need a structural, armor/clothing need an armor/clothing tool, everything else needs a WDG tool.

Of course, you were asking on how to get one, which I completely missed. If you have Artisan Engineering I you can make any of them with a generic tool, some metal, and some chem. Or you can buy them (I usually see them on the bazaar for 100-500 credits).

Check the ratings of the Specialized Crafting Tools also when you go to buy them. When you're just getting started, or when you're only exp grinding, a -13 won't be a bad thing. When you're trying to make things of real quality you're going to want higher quality tools. The higher the + rating, the better the tool is. +15.00 is the highest a crafting tool can have.
If you're making your own, get the highest conductivity metal you can find (copper is usually the best). It takes 1000 Conductivity to make a +15.00 crafting tool, so if you can score 800-900+, you'll be making one of good quality.

Not to overstate the obvious... but... find a tools vendor and buy one. They are really quite inexpensive too. I never paid more than 3K for any ofmine and I am now using +15.00 tools.
You may want to get more than one tool as well. A tool takes a certain amount of time to create an item. While the timer is counting down the tool cannot be used again. I have used as many as seven tools at once while crafting complex items that take a long time to build.
