How in the heck do you actually get to watch them as the launcher? I've zoomed all the way out and looked up, zoomed all the way in and looked up...no matter what view, all I see is just the fringe of one side of the display. I guess I could get someone else to launch but haven't had the opportunity to do it.

The best way that I've found to actually watch your own display it to put together a fireworks package so that there's a delay for the later bursts, zoom your camera all the in so that you're in first person mode, run about 50-75m away from where you put the package down, and look up. It's not the greatest view and you'll probably miss the first couple of bursts in the package, but usually I'm able to get a pretty decent view of my display.
Oh, and no I'm sorry to say I haven't noticed a difference. I haven't seen many fireworks since the patch went in and honestly I'm not familiar enough with the effects of each one to know what they used to look like. I have noticed that they messed around with the overall lighting when they put the new patch in. I can't stand it. Many of the crates in my inventory just look like black cubes no matter how high up I turn my brightness setting.

Has anyone else noticed that Type 2 (concussion rings) and Type 3 (chandelier) fireworks no longer produce the same visual effects as they did before Patch 11? Type 2 flares no longer explode into the concussion rings, but merely fizzle out into space. And Type 3 no longer produces the same spectacular visual effects that they did pre-patch. All of my visual settings are exactly the same as before the patch, and all the other firework types still appear as normal.
