I am looking for a COMPLETE list of all reosurces and what they are used for in SWG. I went to www.swgcraft.com, but a ton of the listings there just has the resource and not anything about what it is used for. Does anyone on here have the COMPLETE resource list and what it is used for? Thanks in advance! =)

it all depends on what it is used for?

but if you want to know what class needs what, SWGcraft has some craftin professions listed there that has details on most items.

What your asking for would be a huge gigantic project. If you click on a material in SWGCRaft.com it will tell you what its used as a named resource. But not in things like "metal" or "Ferrous" or "Cereal" ect.

Watch the trade forums and see what sells

jawa ion rifles
stun batons
Brandy
Canapes
ect

And make yourself a list of 10 things and use swgcraft as a way to learn what goes into them so you know what to get

Well, you can use the "resource usage" link on swgcraft. Select a resource type from the drop down (say "Plumbum Iron") and it returns back the list of schematics that use that resource (Power5 Pistol, E11 Carbine, E11 Rifle, Advanced projectile pistol barrel, SR Combat Pistol, and Republic Blaster).

The only limitation on that is that the search only returns schematics that use that particular resource class. So if you pick Plumbum Iron you don't get any schematics listed that require "Iron", "Ferrous Metal", "Metal", "Mineral", or "Inorganic". To collect the full list of everything that can use a particular resource, you'd have to select each resource categorythatit belongs to. The "resource tree" gives a good layout for how the resources are organized.

The swgcraft.com resource usage dropdown is missing more than half of the stuff in there! It is utterly useless! Most of the stuff on there gives you the "no matching schematic found" message.

Wait, I don't understand what your problem is...

On swgcraft.com, click on "current resources" in the left column.

Now click on "Crystalline Gemstone" or "Steel" or "Iron" or "Meat". Click on the category name. This will return all schematics that use this resource (i.e. just generic steel, iron, meat, etc.)

There are a couple missing things, but overall I've found swgcraft.com to have all the info I need. It's about the only place that has THAT much info on all SWG resources and schematics stuffed into it.

Well, not all types are specifically used in a schematic. Sure, nothing specifically requires "Bospridium Amorphous Gemstone", but there are quite a few items that need "Amorphous Gemstone" (which Bospridium can be used in), Gemstone, or Mineral. They probably made the decision to only return schematics with that particular requirement, otherwise things like Stim As (which require only "Organic" and "Inorganic") would show up in every list.

I also think that swgcraft only tracks schematics learned in skill boxes, so it won't help with looted/reward schematics like the AV-21.

Any resource type you're particularly wondering about?

Don't dis swgcraft.com, it's da' bomb.

It's funny you mentioned Bospridium Amorphous Gemstone, because that was what I was looking for as far as the use! LOL As far as me dissing swgcraft.com, it went down the toliet months ago. I can't remember the last time all the resources were listed correctly for our server. You have crap that hasn't been on our server in months for the current stuff! It was great when it was maintained all the time, but I guess the owner saw how big a pain it became. Cudos for the initial work, but not what is on there now! I used to rely on it weekly for my resources but no more. I guess that is what happens when everyone quit hologrinding! =(

I read in one post, that Scylla players are now posting resources to a different web site, but I can't remember where it was...

Yeah they do, but for an outrageous fee! Thanks, but NO thanks! Normally, what I do now is just keep an eye on our trade forum daily and see what current spawn of whatever ppl want. If I see a doc paying 250 cpu for the current Avian or Herbivore meat, I jump on it. I also have people send me tells or e-mails to tell me what is out and I go out and survey and drop my own harvesters for them. I deliver the goods usually in 5 to 7 days and get paid upon delivery. It works for my cash flow just fine. The only thing is without newer updates now, I miss out on a lot of other nice resources out at the same time.

Do you help keep your galaxy's resources up-to-date?

Well, it works for me. The "don't dis" comment was just a joke. If it doesn't work for you, then it doesn't.

Although just as an FYI: the data is kept up-to-date by players, not the site owner/management/whatever. As someone else said, another site was set upspecifically for Scylla that sucked most of the updaters away. IIRC, the other sitepays in-game credits for resource concentration waypoints. But a lot of servers do have players who regularly contribute updates, and I guess I'm just lucky Chilastra is one of them.
