Resources are going to be tight. Ships even after the changes in beta use a lot of resources.
Resource stockpiles will be plumeting.
We were mining for a month preparing for this, and we still could use more.
Consider for example that an extractor takes a day to make 15K of resources on an 80% spawn.
That is about 450,000 resources every 30 days.
It takes 6 million resources to master shipwright. That is 400 extractor days just to master.
If you ran 8 extractors it would still take you 50 days to extract the resources, just to master shipwright.
With 4 accounts, assuming you have factories on one as well as buildings your max capacity alone with no outside help is around 13,000,000 resources a month. Or around 200 ships a month at the tier4 level.
I suspect though that there is considerable amounts of resources on each server that are stockpiled and are suitable for shipwright. The problem is that distribution will constrict supply driving up prices. Right now 10cpu or so for ships is sustainable, but it is not clear how long.
I predict that players will meet the challenge and start placing extractors, and lending their lots to other players if they do not use them.
If there are 5000 lots per server that can be used for extraction for shipwrights that gives the server a 75 million resource a day capacity. Enough to master 12 shipwrights or produce 1344 ships a day. That is no small number.
The supply capacity is there, the issue is that distribution in SWG is poor causing localized shortages and high prices.
If only there was an in game interplanetary exchange where you could list your price/cpu for resources and shop location. That would increase competition, improve efficiency, and lower prices.
My suggestion? Shop around. It is your best chance at getting a good deal. Go to out of the way resource vendors.
I think we are going to miss the days when getting 1 million resources from a spawn was a good haul. Now that is just barely adequate.

I was wondering if anyone could get me a ton of resources,
1) 75,000 Inorganic
2) 125,000 Water
3)200,000 Organic
How much would that cost me if anyone could get it? I would assume around 1,200,000 Would be enough, assuming 3 cpu and the quality of the water matters not...
Anyone who can massively harvest this for me please respond. With a different price or questions... Thanks

Too bad that you didn't post this a week earlier... I just cancelled my SWG subscription and had a vendor on Starsider with enough of what you were looking for to fulfill your order... well, maybe not enough water, but I had tons of grind quality metals and corn, wheat etc... all between 1-3 credits per unit. It's all in digital heaven right now.. sorry. Heck, I probably would have just given it to you, instead most of it was deleted when it wasn't sold.
Anyway, it might help if you were to post this request in the Starsider Trade forums, or maybe even the Starsider Galaxy forums... not here in the artisan forums. Good luck to you!
