But I was just wondering, how do you? I am a master artisan, and was asked that today, but that is never something I have been asked before. Any tips?

Look for you experimentation modifier in your character sheet, artisan experimentation for example, and divide by 10. A human master artisan will have an artisan experimentation modifer of 100 plus aspecies bonus of 15 = 115. 115 / 10 = 11 (You always round down if there is a decimal place.)
For all other crafting professions a master crafter will have an experimentation modifer of 100 and will therefore be a 10 point crafter. Artisan is the only crafting profession where any race gets a bonus to experimentation.
You become a 12 point crafter in any profession by using skill tapes totaling at least +20 in experimentation. Again, human master artisans are the only exception. Since they start with experimentation at 115, they only need an additional +5 bonus to experimentation to become a 12 point crafter. If a human master artisan gets a +25 bonus, they become a 14 point crafter. (+25 is the max that any skill can be enhanced by skill tapes.)

No, crafting bonuses come from clothing attachments. You either have to lootor buy them, place them into an article of clothing, and then you get the bonus they provide when you are wearing that item of clothing.

When you say 'place them in an article of clothing' i take it this must be a special type of clothing?
Thanx.
