I was wanting to set up a harvester, but I'm hesistant to if the maintenance thing is still buggy.

Have they fixed this yet? I just don't have the money right now to soak the cost. And if it's NOT fixed, does it ONLY happen if you leave it overnight? Or just randomly?

I'd say just set it up and pay careful attention to it. I have problems completely randomly. In fact yesterday I found 2 harvesters that had the same amount of maintenance put into them had run down to very different amounts. Yet, a friend of mine in the exact same area reported that he had no problem with his maintenance, except for very slight variation. So I am not sure what factors effect it, possibly you will have no problem at all! If worst comes to worst, you blow the thing up and run a couple extra deliveries to make up for it...but the mining trade has been HIGHLY lucrative for me lately, in spite of the bug. Good luck!

It's still buggy. I have eight personal harvesters in Ahazi gathering steel. Two evenings ago, knowing I wouldn't be able to log in until late last night I paid up 36 hours of maintenance (30 * 36 = 1080CR) and 36 hours of power (25 * 36 = 900 power) on each of them.

Last night I returned to the harvesters (after being away foronly 25 hours) and, although the harvesters still contained 11 hours of power, they all had burned through their maintanance budgets and required 450CR each to bring them back to working condition. Ouch.

WORSE (if possible) they had each lost a good percentage of the steel they had gathered during the 25 hours. In theory, I should have had over 2000 units of steel in each harvesters' hopper but each had, on average, less than500 units of steel. Double ouch.

So yes, I /bugged this but have not heard back from the developers nor do I really expect to. *sigh* It's hard enough to progress as an artisan without problems like this. Suffice it to say I was very discouraged when I found my harvesters both stopped and damaged.

Does anyone know if the medium sized harvesters have these problems?

Is this issue happening on every server? I paid up on my harvesters the other day because I knew I would be away for a few days. I'm almost scared to log in and see what's happened to them.

You know, I'm wondering if the nightly/daily server resets are somehow screwing up the timers on these things? Perhaps the game clock is being set too far forward when the system is restarted after the maintenance? This is the only thing I can see causing the problem. I've repeatedly checked my harvesters during a day online and they seem to be keeping accurate time. Login after the maintenance cycle and things go wacky more often than not.

It definitely has to do with the server reset which happens at 6 a.m. my time. I check the harvesters at night before bed, then also at 5:30 a.m.before work. They're fine in the morning, but then when I get home in the evening I usually have at least 1 harvester in need of repair, even if I've put 2 days of maintenance in it. I wish I could check right after the server reset in order to pinpoint the problem exactly but I don't think my boss would understand the necessity of me being late in order to do that.

Your boss must be brought over to the dark side... or he must die.
